Rampage

Got the Rampage Arcade 1Up a few days ago. Elliot calls is “Gorilla, Lizard, Wolf”

May 15, 2021 Update : Today I sold it on Facebook Marketplace for the same price I bought it — $325. The kids were playing it too much and also I’m trying to downsize in anticipation of a possible move (again).

Scared of the Mannequins

We went to Macy’s in Park Meadows Mall. Elliot is scared of the mannequins. I don’t blame him. He played on the escalator (big mistake on my part! I did not know!. At the top were bunch of mattresses, just like in Corderoy. We got on top of one and pretended to pull a button off, just like Corderoy!

Elliot’s First Real Fishing Adventure

Elliot has always loved fishing since he was able to hold the plastic fishing games I purchased from Amazon. These are the two he’s played with, both of which I’ve bought more than once!

The one with water is easier for for because the fish are not moving around very much. I have some videos of him and Max playing this game at the kitchen table when we lived at TrailMark, Elliot sitting a high chair.

So we went real fishing for the first time. It’s a small pond next to US 285 called Rainbow Trout Ranch and Campground. He absolutely loved it and although we could not catch anything, there was a nice woman there with her teenage daughter who caught fish after fish after fish. She “arranged” it so that Elliot caught a fish. He was absolutely thrilled.

Elliot’s 3rd Birthday Party at Garden Preschool

In the Purple Room…

Elliot’s Last Day in Bet (Silver) Class

Friday was Elliot’s last day in the Silver/Bet class. During the parent/teacher conference today with Ms Sam from Bet class, Sam said that Elliot’s vocabulary and sense of humor are enormous.

On Friday, he pretended to sneeze (“achoo!“) and said to Sam, “Sick, need to go home”. Then he pretended to have a head ache.

She reiterated the story when Elliot brought the fake cheese ball can to school. He went around the school for a couple of days, asking all the teachers, “Cheese Balls?” and handing them the can. When they opened it, he would laugh and laugh hysterically. He just did not get tired of the trick.

Elliot First Day of Gimel (Purple) Class

After an epic, all-morning meltdown, Elliot had his first day in the new Purple classroom with Alicia and Mushky.

Elliot wants to throw rocks in the water

Picking up Elliot from Garden Preschool:

“Please, throw rocks in the water? I beg you.” “Please, I beg you”

He wants to throw them into the stream by the troll bridge.

His favorite pastime since he was a baby.

An April 2021 Preschool Day

Last Day in the Silver Room

On Monday, it’s the Purple Room! But only Elliot is moving up to the next class. These classmates won’t join him until August.

Elliot’s Lady

Jen Corrigan, Elliot’s Speech therapist, visited Elliot at Garden Preschool today. It’s the only time she visited him there; the rest have been at home. Elliot turns 3 in a little over 2 weeks and has the vocabulary of a 3 1/2 year old!

When Jen came to his classroom, he screamed “IT’S MY LADY!”

Superworm

This is the super worm book that I read to Elliot. No one taught him to touch his peepee and call it super worm. He did that all on his own. That’s why it’s so funny.

Kids, go home!

When Elliot refers to children he does not know, he calls them “kids” or “boys” (if they are all boys). At Max’s 13th birthday party, he told Max’s friends, “Kids, go home!” and “Go home, kids!!”. He did not want them here. And when Brooks was playing the Terminator pinball, Elliot said he did not want him playing with his pinball. At the end, when Oliver was at the door, Elliot began pushing him out.

But at some times during the party he played with them, putting his roaring T-Rex into their faces. And they were good-natured with him, pretending to be scared.

Today at the school playground, two boys were on one of the slide structures, calling it their spaceship. We were on the swing, pretending it was a spaceship going to Planet X. Elliot yelled to the boys, “My pirate ship, boys!” More than once.

My heart aches because I know that eventually he will get hurt saying these things.

Want it, have it and 1st sauna photos

Elliot says things like, “Want it ice cream” and “‘Have it?” or “Have it, ice cream?”

So cute.

First pictures in the new sauna!

The Snake

Elliot saw this in one of the cat litter boxes, pointed, and kept yelling “SNAKE! SNAKE!”. No one else thought it was funny but me. Elliot really did think it was a snake; he was not joking.
